Above the rooftops of Buttenwiesen

After the last open installation work last week and after the installation of the electricity meter for measuring the electricity generated, the time had come on Wednesday, 8th of December 2021: The new photovoltaic system on the premises of ROMA was put into operation.

The installation of the system on the roof of plant 2 began in August. The contract for the execution was awarded to our long-standing customer and partner Rudolf Hörmann GmbH & Co. KG from Buchloe.

With optimal utilisation of the entire roof area, a total of 1,772 modules with a total output of 655 kWp could be installed. At peak times, the system will feed 550 kW into ROMA's power grid for self-consumption. Surpluses are fed into the public grid.

In this way, ROMA is making a valuable, sustainable contribution to environmental protection and improving its CO₂ footprint. A photovoltaic system at Plant 1 is already being planned.
