Experience these moments now with a cinematic review, because (moving) pictures say more than a 1,000 words.

Anniversary celebration on Saturday evening
The highlight of the weekend was the anniversary celebration on Saturday evening. ROMA had invited customers, suppliers, business partners, representatives from politics and employees to celebrate the 75th anniversary together. The event was a successful mix of interesting speeches, entertainment and culinary delights. The guests enjoyed the evening in a festive atmosphere and celebrated the success and history of the company together.

In his welcome speech, Managing Director Dieter Romakowski reviewed the past 75 years and concluded by proclaiming:
"For me, after 50 years of ROMA, it is time to cut back and make room for the successor. At 70, you should have the courage to entrust the company into the younger generation and let them shape the future."

He would like to hand over the helm to the new generation, his two children Marta and Christian Romakowski. Dieter Romakowski will continue to support the family business in an advisory capacity.
Mr Romakowski's opening speech was followed by other speakers from business and politics: Mayor Hans Kaltner, District Administrator Markus Müller (political party the Freie Wähler) and IHK Regional Chairman Gregor Ludley.

Donations instead of gifts
We are also pleased to announce that our campaign "Donations instead of presents" raised almost 10,000 euros for the so-called "Bunter Kreis" (engl.: colourful circle). The family has since generously increased this sum to 12,000 euros. On Wednesday, 12th July 2023, Astrid Grotz (Chairwoman of the "Bunter Kreis" foundation) accepted the symbolic donation cheque at the company's location in Buttenwiesen. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the generous donations and are pleased that we can use them to support families with seriously ill children.

Open Day on 2nd July 2023
The open day on 2nd July marked the end of the celebrations for the company's 75th anniversary. It was with great pleasure that the company welcomed over 3,500 visitors who were curious to learn more about ROMA and its products. The visitors had the opportunity to take part in various activities and guided tours to gain a comprehensive insight into the company. ROMA presented itself as one of the most modern and largest employers in the region and introduced options for young people to start an apprenticeship within the company or the possibility to engage in a cooperative degree program with a university. As a tradition-conscious family business, we were particularly keen to offer our guests not only an informative insight into our company during the event, but also a varied programme for the whole family. Thus, following the factory tours, the guests had the opportunity to take advantage of our children's programme and to stop for refreshments in our marquee with local brass band music. The positive response and the great interest of the visitors were outstanding.

"The 75th anniversary weekend was a complete success and we are overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and interest we received from our customers, suppliers and the region," said Ms Romakowski, Marketing Manager and shareholder of Romakowski GmbH & Co. KG.

"We proudly look back on 75 years of successful company history and are confident that we can continue to offer innovative solutions and excellent service in the future."
